Write Your D@mn Book!

Get to The End of your novel-in-progress in this 6-month supportive class with Daryll Lynne Evans.

Join us for this 6-month workshop designed to support you in finishing your novel. Through creative exercises, craft instruction, and one-on-one support, you’ll finally break through those blocks and push to THE END.

It’s a familiar feeling—your beloved novel sits abandoned in a folder (or a dusty corner of your brain) because you just can’t seem to finish it.

Maybe you’ve written 10 pages, 50 pages, or more and got stuck. Or you have a series of vignettes you aren’t sure how to tie together. Maybe your characters went off on an adventure without you, or you’re not even sure how to begin because you’re terrified of breaking your brilliant idea.

Whatever it is, you’re spinning your wheels, going nowhere, and you don’t know how to fix it.

You’ve tried to push through on your own, but it hasn’t worked. You’ve committed to the “just write every day” thing, but life gets in the way. Or perhaps you’ve taken plenty of writing classes, but you need something hands-on, a plan that helps you make tangible progress. You’ve probably tried to solve it with willpower, caffeine, and a good amount of self-doubt. So, what’s the secret? How do you finally get that draft done?

The answer is: You don’t have to do it alone.

We’re here to help you break the process down into manageable chunks, keep you accountable, and teach you the tools and strategies you need to write more, write better, and write faster. Plus, we add in peer support, personalized feedback, and yes, chocolate. (Because every writing challenge is easier with a little treat.)

With Write Your D@mn Book, you’ll join a writing cohort and find community, study craft, measure your progress, meet writing deadlines, and give and get support through the long slog of writing a book. There are no grades here! Only gold stars for showing up and doing the work. Your cohort will provide the structure, companionship, feedback, good humor, and emotional support to help see your project through to the end.

Do you know this writer? Is it you?

  • You’ve got a novel you want to finish
  • You’re tired of writing alone in the hinterlands and could use support (and chocolate!) on a work in progress project
  • You’ve lost your writing mojo and want to find it again
  • You’ve taken classes but haven’t figured out how to put the knowledge into practice
  • You’re great at beginning, maybe even at the messy middle, but have trouble getting to The End

The only way to get your novel written is…sitting down and writing it. Ugh! There’s a German word for that! Sitz·fleisch: sit your butt in that chair (and write!). But you don’t have to do it alone.

This 6-month class, held in-person every other week, offers craft practice and on-going writing support while you push toward the end.
