Re-ignite your writing at a day of cozy creativity
Are you feeling a bit stuck in your writing?
If you’re a writer whose words went into hibernation along with the sun and clear skies, you’re not alone. It can be hard to find the motivation to write during short, dreary days. The holiday hustle can be draining.
If your inspiration is hiding under a pile of blankets, and you’ve been unable to lure it out with chocolate, long walks in the brisk air, or even dramatic readings of your work to your houseplants, don’t despair. Stop waiting for a flash of inspiration, binge-watching shows, or doom scrolling through social media.
Instead, shuffle down to Winterlude (in your PJs if you must) to shake off the chill and spark your creativity in a warm, friendly environment. At Winterlude, you’ll find a cozy daylong writing retreat where you can dive back into your stories. With prompts, community support, and plenty of hot cocoa, you’ll find the warmth and inspiration you need to turn your dreams of writing into reality.
What you can expect at Winderlude:
Inspiring writing prompts: Banish the blank page and spark your creativity with fun and engaging prompts using the Story Engine card deck.
Fellowship and support: Write alongside fellow wordsmiths who understand the struggle and whose presence and support will boost your confidence.
Structured writing sessions: Enjoy focused writing time with dedicated blocks to put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard.
Cozy atmosphere: Savor hot drinks and snacks while you write–because creativity is best served with a side of cocoa–in our warm and welcoming studio space.
Takeaway tools: Leave with fresh ideas, new friends, and the motivation to continue your writing journey.
How Winterlude is structured:
The day will be divided into inspiring writing sessions, interspersed with breaks for snacks, stretching, lunch, and sharing ideas and story snippets.
10 am to 1 pm: Explanation of the Story Engine card deck (which you don’t even have to use!), plus three 45-minute writing sessions.
1-2 pm: Lunch! Bring your own lunch or give us your order from Cafe Yumm! and we’ll get it for you. Connect and chat with other writers.
2-4 pm: Two more 45-minute writing sessions.
At Winterlude, you’ll find a welcoming space to explore your writing in a relaxed environment, where laughter, creativity, and chocolate go hand in hand.
Whether you’re a newbie writer or a seasoned pro, Winterlude will help you unlock your creativity. This structured write-in offers a perfect blend of focused writing time and opportunities to connect with other writers in a supportive and friendly environment.
Join us for a day of inspiration, creative rejuvenation, and community at the Winderlude write-in.
