Fourteen years of Wordcrafters, celebrated with new writing, performed live in our cozy studio.
Local writers and musicians are bringing work to this night that hasn’t yet been performed anywhere else. Theatrical readings, short stories, poetry, original songs—you’ll hear them for the first time along with everyone else in the room.
It’s also our birthday. Wordcrafters turns fourteen this year: fourteen years of classes, open mics, critique circles, school residencies, and summer camps. We’re marking it with cake, chocolate, and people sharing their work for the first time.
Who you’ll hear
Theresa May — children’s literature
Karis Koris — music
Cameron Jackson — short story and theatre
Sage Liskey — poetry
More performers to be announced.
Your emcee: Eric Braman
Eric Braman is an award-winning poet, storyteller, and theatre maker. They’ll share original pieces developed during their residency as Artist in Residence at City of Rocks National Reserve, and devise new work on the spot through audience participation.

Where your ticket goes
This is a fundraiser.
Every dollar from ticket sales and on-site donations goes directly into what Wordcrafters does the rest of the year:
- Classes and workshops for writers at every level, priced at what they cost us to run
- Teaching artists in Lane County classrooms, working with students who’ve been told, one way or another, that writing belongs to somebody else
- The studio, as a room where local writers can gather, work, and read out loud to each other
Grab a friend and join the fun.
