Are you working on a memoir and need some feedback and support? This biweekly workshop gives you the extra eyes and motivation from other writers.
Stay on track with your writing and receive valuable feedback to improve your craft and style. With peer and instructor workshopping, you will get the boost you need to get your project moving.
Each week we’ll discuss a reading and craft element. Then we’ll critique each other’s work. You will be critiqued at least two times during the workshop, submissions of approximately 7-10 pages each.
Workshop will include: weekly readings; deep-dive craft lessons and exercises to help focus your technique; workshopping pages; and brainstorming and problem-solving individual writing challenges.
Prerequisite: this workshop presumes you have a basic working knowledge of the elements of creative writing (what is a scene, what is dialogue, etc.). We will be focusing on the deeper elements of craft. Recommended for writers who have some writing experience and at least the beginning of a project. Also very helpful for writers with a completed first draft. Not sure if this class is right for you? Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll help you decide!
