Get Involved

An organization as vibrant and vigorous as this has endless need for volunteers to help us achieve our goals. Whether you are interested in participating with community events, we could use your assistance. See below for current volunteer, teaching, and internship opportunities or click the button below to express your interest in getting involved.

Opportunities for College Students
For undergrads and non-MFA graduate students, we offer internship opportunities in social media management, non-profit administration, program coordination, education, and marketing.

For MFA students, we offer short term and long term opportunities. From low commitment opportunities such as the Ace Your App college essay event, to teaching a semester for our Writers in the Schools program, MFA’s have an opportunity to make connections and gain experience.

Opportunities for Community Members

Are you a writer, teacher, or community member looking to give back to the Wordcrafters community? There are many opportunities for you to lend a hand. Here are just a few:

  • Young Writers Short Fiction Contest Judge
  • NaNoWriMo Write-In Host
  • Be Write-In Host (virtual)
  • Event Volunteer (virtual or in-person opportunities)
  • Summer Camp Staff
Opportunities for Professional Writers and Writing Instructors

We are always looking for local authors and educators who are interested in offering classes and workshops focused on craft.

Opportunities for Community Leaders and Future Sponsors

As a nonprofit we thrive on the support of local leaders and businesses. Here are few ways to help Wordcrafters grow:
