Get the butt in chair time you need to get your writing done.
Writers know we have to actually do the writing to make our stories come to life. And it’s legitimately hard to find the time and make the commitment to it.
Accountability works. Writing community works.
Get both with your fellow Wordcrafters at a weekly write in at the Wordcrafters studio.
When you sign up to show up for your writing work, you’re so much more likely to actually do it. These low-key write ins give you the space, time, community, and free WiFi to make it happen.
And you don’t even have to talk to anyone.
Format:
9:15-9:30 am: Show up and chat about your writing
9:30-11:30 am: Be quiet and write
If you want to do pomodoro you can – set your own timer.
Don’t interrupt others unless they want to be bothered–We’ll have a system of letting folks communicate if they’re up for being bothered or not. If you want to chat, go in the foyer/entry way. If other people’s chatter from the hallway bothers you, wear headphones like you would at a coffee shop.
We’ll write until 11:30am,
Then, have a bit of unstructured chat until…
11:45 am: Go into your day feeling good about your writing life.
