Come Play Story!

Want to write? Have trouble writing fast enough? Stuck on “the” story and not able to start “a” story? Come and play story with Wordcrafters! Award-winning writer Eric Witchey has agreed to present his writers conference perennial favorite seminar, Come Play Story (Sometimes called Write a Story Now). This fun, fast event is one-third magic trick, one-third creativity hack, one-third seminar, and all fun for everyone who attends. Eric will use classic short story structures and the collective minds of the participants to create a fast, dynamic environment that builds a full story in real time. The story will begin with nothing except a room full of playful minds, and a step-by-step story will emerge over the two hours of the process. Participants will go home with an understanding of exactly how it was done so they can do it again on their own or with friends. Eric cautions that repeating the process does take longer than it will in the seminar. However, he says, after you’ve done it a couple hundred times, it gets a lot faster. There will be cheese and chocolate. (Feel free to bring the adult beverage of your choice!)
